My Christmas gift

I once took a photography class after college. I had fun but I didn't have the best camera. I knew that I could probably take better pictures if I just had the right camera.

Fast forward 8 years.

I just met this camera but I'm in love with it already. My husband sure did his research and I was truly surprised by this gift Christmas morning. It's a Sony alpha 33.

Here are some of the first pictures I took with this camera:
This is the ornament Trey received this year, in front of the ornament he received last year.

This is from our visit to the Coke museum in Atlanta last Thanksgiving.

And a cupcake of course. It's the first cupcake in a new series by Hallmark.

The most fun I've had with my camera so far was taking pictures of my youngest in his new cowboy boots. My cousin sent them from Georgia (where she lives) after he was born. They finally fit him and he LOVES wearing them!

I have yet to take the class and figure out how to use the lenses, etc. But I had to take some diaper pictures of my youngest before he was too old for diaper pictures. According to my husband, he IS too old. But I beg to differ.

If anyone has any photography tips they'd like to send my way, I'm open ears (and eyes)!

  1. I still can't get over how big and grown up Trey is! Darling pictures. Would love to take a photography class, but not having the right camera is definitely keeping me from doing that.
